Favorite Sculpture in the Known Universe

Just so you know, there's a new issue of The Pictorial Arts Journal online here. It features a pictorial experiment as a tribute to master sculptor Avard Fairbanks. Below is an excerpted image from it. I can honestly say this particular sculpture is my favorite in the known Universe.

Awesome. I love these crown/headgear shapes.

If we're on the subject of sharing, my favorite sculpture is Paul Manship's "Diana". Just so sleek and caught in a dynamic motion.

Indeed, Manship is a very top favorite sculptor—Diana is fabulous.

Some friends of mine were discussing sculptures in popular culture yesterday, addressing how the Statue of Liberty seems to come up frequently in comedy sketches, and made a list of sculptures that we had seen parodied in movies or television and of course Rodan's The Thinker, Micheangelo's David and the Venus De Milo were all referenced while I expressed disappointment that the Venus Kallipygos was not better known. She is essentially mooning her viewers, you'd think there would be at least one low brow joke about a high brow sculpture like her.
