Any influence on Kelly is worth exploring.<br /><br />One influence that comes to mind is Arthur Rackham, not so much in the <i>Pogo</i> strip, but in some of the "fairy tales" that Kelly wrote for the <i>Pogo</i> books -- especially the ones that featured human beings.
