I'm not a huge fan of art of the American west, yet I do continually find myself admiring the iconic western art of Charles Russell and Frederic Remington.

ReplyDeleteOne thing you can definitely say about those two - they could sure draw horses - and anyone whose tried, knows how hard that is.
Great artists both. Personally I've always been a fan of westerns so Wyeth is my go to man.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma? Big collection of Remington, Russell, Moran, and their contemporaries.
ReplyDeleteNever have. I'll bet that's a fabulous feast for the eyes.
