I'm posting this image of an interesting sculpture if nothing more than because I like typing and saying its name, and interestingly enough seems to translate as 'The Flypaper'.
Hi Thom I thought I'd let you know it's literally 'flycatcher' and thus 'flypaper' but I looked it up and can't see this title at all, where as this site shows it might be 'Tanzender Faun', i.e. 'Dancing Faun' or what you said!!!
Ah, thanks for asking Natta. I'm getting close to relaunching the Pictorial Arts Journal, and in doing so, I've sequestered most of my other blogs so as to streamline the journal's identity. It's a confusing evolution, but hopefully I'll get it straightened out soon.

My name is Thom Buchanan.
I'm an artist and photographer.
People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years.
I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.

Well, it certainly LOOKs like a faun . . . maybe stalking a fly?
Is it possible that I was once able to see the pictorialartsjournal before or was it always invitation only?
Best wishes,
Natta
