The Pictorial Arts

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Another survivor was this little original drawing, looking all the world like a Gottfredson, but I could never be sure of that. It's a cute little thing, appearing to take aim at animators. I tell ya, my dad's auctioneering acquisitions sure were eclectic and mysterious. The other posters I acquired later, and are probably reproductions, but I can't be sure of that either. I got those at an auction, the year of my dad's passing. Over the years he and I talked of many things, but never of this stash of material.

About Me

My photo
Thomas Haller Buchanan
My name is Thom Buchanan. I'm an artist and photographer. People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years. I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.
