Joe's covers for this series, as well as all his DC work, were terrific. For once, though, they didn't overshadow the beautiful interior art by Nester Redondo.
Yes, you're right, it was a high water mark for Redondo. I've already posted the first story with Redondo's work, and plan to show at least a couple more.
As with many of the industry's stories at the time, the coloring seems washed-out and pale, weakening the impact that the art deserved.
If anyone's interested, look for Nestor Redondo over on "Labels", off to the side there.
