I think of it as Allegorical Neoclassicism, in the beaux art mural tradition, with Symbolist touches here and there. But, well, I'm not schooled in the isms, so it well could be classified as something else. These were commissioned mostly for the Musuem of Fine Arts and the public library in Boston and were so different from Sargent's painterly styles.
These are all great! Can it be attributed to any style? Is it modern or salon or art-deco or something else?
