Hah. I hadn't seen it that way til you pointed it out. The undead stumbling in from the cornfield. Actually many of L. Frank Baum's original Oz imagery had horrific nuances.
Yeah... Flying Monkeys, anyone?(I know they were more MGM than Baum, but those things managed to wing their way into many a nightmare when I was younger)
Those flying monkeys scared the spit outta me. . .and still do. Same goes for Margaret Hamilton. What an amazing movie that was.
Oh, and them apple trees skeert the bejabbers outta me too. What a deliciously disturbing movie.
