Cleopatra

Looking like a beautiful rendition of A Princess of Mars by J. Allen St. John, this is actually a beautiful rendition of Cleopatra by Harrison Fisher, from 1907 — five years before Princess first saw print. It could have been interesting if Fisher had been assigned to the Edgar Rice Burroughs' stories.

I've been planning a post on Cleopatra in art in a couple of weeks on my own blog, Harrison Fisher's depiction will make a welcome addition to my collection. Thanks for this timely sharing.

This is a wonderful illustration!, I wish to Thank You for your ethics on sharing,as I have felt the same way with my flickr collection(s),and pretty much everything I have to share.I appreciate the fact that you share, as I feel that greed is why so much ugliness has stained mankind and this beautiful Earth that we ALL share.
