There must be a thousand renditions of poor sweet dead Ophelia created over the years with probably 99% created in Victorian times. This is one of them.
Hi Thom, They are both beautiful. The drawing captures the passion, and the painting, the watery realm. I especially like the colors in the painting, the bubbles, the delicacy of the swirls in her hair and clothing and the underwater scene, and the sunlight filtering through the water. It's great to see both the drawing and the finished work.
