Those are the days I miss too. It always amazed me that they couldn't pull some nonsense from their daze to fill in every day. Seemed lazy.
If the 17th was labeled as the "Black Green Lantern"...nowadays the 2nd would be labeled as "Gay Green Lantern". Even with progressive attitudes, the labels take time to change I suppose.
Just barely discovered your lovely blog. As a comic art fan from the early 50's onward, I have been so tickled to see so many beautiful scans which cross the decades and have brought back some delightful memories. Thank you for sharing!
