I love finding issues of THE COUNTRY GENTLEMAN. Aimed at a rural, primarily farming audience, the covers were executed by some of the finest illustrators of the time (Harvey Dunn and others, for example), and the entertainment portion of the mag (extensive section for short stories and serialized novels) featured best selling authors, usually in the mystery and western genres. Zane Grey, Max Brand, etc. The oversize format makes them a delight for the eyes, too.
