blimey, that's gorgeous. I'm assuming it's got something to do with The Ring of the Nibelung? if so, is it part of a series?

The alternate title to this painting is Clyties of the Mist, painted in 1912. That seems to be a mythological reference, but Clytie was one individual water-nymph that transformed into a flower. So, I'm not sure of the plurality of the subject.

But it was a salon painting and not illustrating a story.
It's not a series, but he painted a number of other nymph subjects. I will post some of those as well.
