Outstanding Decorative Painter

William P. Welsh was an outstanding decorative painter and illustrator, primarily of the 1930s, who seemingly has not been given his due. He was very prolific, yet it's hard to find many examples of his work, let alone a collected works book or such.

Thanks Joe. I was hoping someone would show some appreciation for this guy's talent.

Thanks for the post. I found "Summer" in the web and was looking for the artist over a year. It's Art Deco of the best.

I was searching works of this artist since a picture seen in "Illustrator in America" (the one with Chaplin) and it's a real pleasure to discover such beautiful things (the Winter is awsome).

Until this weekend at an antiques fair, I hadn't seen Summer and Winter since I sold my prints about 25 years ago. Afterward, I was so sorry and searched for replacements in poster stores to no avail.

Sadly I had to pass on the two framed posters this weekend but it was wonderful seeing them again and now because of your images and info I can enjoy them and more once again. Thank you!
