As Steve points out in the comments to the previous post, the king of Snow Queen art is H. J. Ford, from The Pink Fairy Book. Even though the art is not in color, it fairly glows.
Simply sublime... The colored Fairy Books of Andrew Lang contain some of the most amazing art ever produced. I remember when they were reprinted in the late sixties. I used to sit for hours, just looking at the illustrations, wishing I could enter them. That last embrace of Gerda and Kay has been burned into my mind ever since.

My name is Thom Buchanan.
I'm an artist and photographer.
People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years.
I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.
