Sometimes Mary Engelbreit's work can be a bit sugary, but sometimes it's sweetened just right. Another bright Engelbreit for Christmas, a season invented just for her to illustrate.
M.D., what do we want from a scene of Santa's workshop? Crumbling bricks? Broken glass? A meth lab? Santa himself looks like Dumbledore, before there was a Dumbledore.
Hi Thom, I laughed reading your reply! I enjoy Mary Engelbreit, a lot. Some of her work is absolutely a perfect balance of cuteness and artistry, and some of it leans over the edge; but sweet is good, especially at this time of the year! Many of her Santas and elves are the best of the best, and her sentiments are sincerely expressed.

People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years.
I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.

Well, it is sweet. Maybe a bit too sweet. Not a lot of hard edges.
