Last post, comment came up 'bout scary stuff from the Wizard of Oz movie. Got to thinkin' 'bout Margaret Hamilton, and marveling at how perfecto her witchery was. I nominate her as THE bestest wicked witch of all time. What a delicious movie.

Look out below, there's one of them dreaded flying monkeys! Even if this one doesn't have his wings on, it's nightmares tonight!

Ah, Oz. I remember loving the movie during its annual run when I was very young in the 70's. My parents told me there were books, too, and took me to the library to check them out. That led me to my love of books, and fairly directly to the person I am today.

More connected to the earlier post, have you seen the beautiful book Sunday Press put out of the Oz comics?

I've only seen the ads for it. It looks like a lot of fun. I plan to look for it. I love the Oz experience. I have the 14 book series from the 50s and I still marvel at how entertaining they are.

Oh, you would have to bring the flying monkeys into it. Curse you, Thom Buchanen, and your little dog, too!

They're great stills, though.
