thankyou so much for posting these, Thomas. they are absolutely beautiful. I've got to go out and hunt myself down a copy of this, I'd love to see them in print. brilliant, mate.
You're right Joe. There is nothing like holding a beautiful book—beautifully written, illustrated and printed, with the perfect paper and binding. Ain't no Kindle gonna give you that.
Lovely! I agree, Kindle can't replace the experience of looking at a book with beautiful plates. That's why I think bound books won't die out - but in several decades they may become luxury items.
Many, many, thanks for posting these incredible illustrations by W.H. Robinson from one of the greatest illustrated books of all time! I look in every day and have greatly enjoyed each installment of A Midsummer Night's Dream! For most, Robinson's art is forgotten...thanks to folk like you that make this art available for everyone to see! Can't wait to see the remaining illustrations!

My name is Thom Buchanan.
I'm an artist and photographer.
People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years.
I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.

Thank you Mr. Door Tree. High praise indeed, coming from one such as you. Your posts are always a joyful celebration of the illustrative arts.
These are beautiful, Thom! I just came across them.
Hi Annie—They're timeless, aren't they?
