Didn't realise the significance of this until I checked in with Mr Door Tree as well. This is a great loss to the art world. Jones was probably the most painterly of the artists who made up the loose conglomerate known as The Studio. Just fished out my copy of the 1979 Dragons Dream volume of The Studio and will be looking through it to the wee hours with a whiskey and drinking to Jeffrey Catherine Jones.
A sad loss, she was a true master of figurative art, a major influence on many artists, myself including myself.
