So first I'm thinkin' “Yeah, but we got Fay Wray!” but then I'm thinkin' “Wait… Fay Wray as an Amazon! We didn't get Fay Wray as an Amazon!”
Anyway, I'd say that this terrifying conception of Kong ran into two problems. First, the film would have been banned almost everywhere. Second, Cooper and Schoedsack wanted audiences typically to look at beasts with greater sympathy — consider the message of The Most Dangerous Game.
Okay, now I'm back to wondering where I can get a copy of Black Moon. (Fay Wray as a voodoo goddess!)

My name is Thom Buchanan.
I'm an artist and photographer.
People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years.
I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.
