Just a reminder that we're sharing some of our studio's art over on Snippets and Bibbets, pulling from 30 years of creating art for kids. The image below is a drawing in progress for a current book project that's in its final deadline phase.
There is so much happening in this scene, kids will be drawn to it, especially with the lighting and composition focusing on the children, like the girl running, the boy pushing the wheelbarrow, and the little girl in white holding her mother's hand. Kids will be able to picture themselves, as if they lived in that time.
I am posting these images with a non-profit and educational 'fair use' motive, regarding respective copyrights. Anyone downloading and using these images for any commercial use would be in violation of respective copyrights, and does not have my approval for such use.
My name is Thom Buchanan.
I'm an artist and photographer.
People are my favorite subjects to portray in art and photos. My wife (and studio partner) has called that my 'people skills', as I've been passionately creating portrait studies for many years.
I refer to myself as a pictorialist, a combination of image-making and journalist. Images are my life.

What a beautiful piece! I can almost hear the cars and horses.
Thank you, ToB! That's very nice of you to say.
