Buck by Wm

Good gosh— is this June already? Where have I been?

I'm on deep deadline for the next couple of weeks. All I can afford, time-wise, right now is to pull up miscellaneous images that I don't have to theme and explain very much. So as I get time, I'll do a post here and there. But bear with me. There's some nice individual images coming up, and then when I can, I'll do some serious scanning.

Below is a 1978 William Stout rendering of Buck Rogers, conceptualizing the moment that the mutated inhabitants of future Chicago turn on Buck and his robot pal.

Awesome! This was early (early!) pre-production art for the Buck Rogers television series if I am not mistaken.

Rendering is beautiful, it focuses the attention on the main subject of the piece. Great first choice for your busy schedule.

Cheers!

Yeah, this was preproduction concept drawing for the BUCK ROGERS series. I remember seeing this in an issue of Steranko's MEDIASCENE mag way back in the later '70s. Gorgeous as ever, and looking like it came from the streets of Mos Eisley, huh?
