Film Magic

Who doesn't admire Ray Harryhausen's film magic, bringing creatures and skeletons and what-not to life in spooky fashion? The non-limited, but autographed, print below is a production drawing of one of his most famous sequences —The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.

Harryhausen fueled or sparked sooooo many of my childhood summer afternoon backyard play times. It tickled ur fantasy bone!

Harryhausen and me go back a long ways, further than memory allows probably. he was the first film artist whose work i became aware of and wanted to see more of. the hands on artistry of what he did is something lost in todays CGI dominated special effects world. i love that drawing you posted! if i recall he stated it was that drawing that inspired the whole film. i love his artwork, another amazing facet to his talent.
