Hhrrrmmmmmmmmm

At the rate that my computer repair is taking, I might as well take in my shingle, go out of business and go bankrupt. I'll be the guy you see pushing a grocery cart around town while using an iPad.

LOL, I'm not going to do this, but I bet you if you google 'homeless person with IPad' a lot of dedicated information will come up.

ToB--you need to google it and do a post on "I'm homeless and this is why I own an iPad". It's rather lovely and inspiring.

Rules of Computer Repair-

1. they will always say that it can be repaired quickly- lie #1

2. they will always say that it is the first on their list- lie #2

3. they will always say that it really will be done by tomorrow- lie #3

4. when you finally get it back one to two weeks later (original estimate 3 days) they will say that they had been swamped by work
lie #4 and that your computer is old and hard to work on - possible truth.

You called it correctly, James, point by point. 'Cept maybe that very last thing—if it's still on warrantee, it ain't too old—to my way of thinking.
