Nature Factoids

Mark Trail was created in 1946 by Ed Dodd, as an adventure strip, but by the time I was collecting it, it had become an encyclopedia of nature factoids. Not very exciting, but the graphics were colorful and compelling. I've saved a lot of them, even to this day.

Mark Trail must have been collected and reprinted sometime in the late 60's or early 70's.I could swear i read it as a child.
I recall one (I believe it was mark trail) that explained how humans were predators because we shared the predatory trait of having our eyes on the front of our faces/heads and not off to the sides.

Thank god that Mark Trail kills the animals for their own good.

Neil, you need to work on your reading skills.

Neil, that last strip about animal control (from 1972) was a remarkable stance, for the time, advocating natural processes of control and condemning the practice of shooting the animals.
