What a sweet portrait, in the orientalist manner that was so popular in the 19th century. I would love to see a revival of, not just oriental, but of cosplay portrait themes. Not Manga or comics, but anything from SteamPunk to Renaissance costumes.
Hey, I'd be willing to do some portrait drawings of some of you, if you come up with a really cool cosplay idea. Let me think of how to set something like that up out here in CyberSpace. Ideas?

She does look sweet, and like she's enjoying the "dress up." It reminds me of the fun of wearing Ren-Fest clothing.
I've still got my klingon uniform, Thom. But I've lost my head piece.
I dunno, without the headpiece . . .
I can get another. I can get you one too! But I'll have to encase your head in algenate first.
Well ... if you're serious about the offer, I always wanted a portrait of myself in the art deco 1930s mold. Are you really offering?
Bob, I am really offering, with several provisos for anyone else wanting to consider this:
One, you need to email photos, though they don't need to be perfect (if the photo was perfect, you wouldn't need a drawing that mimics it). They can just be phone-camera shots, but hopefully half-way decent shots, not blasted with flash.
Two, the setup needs to be really cosplay, y'know, not just a funny tie or something like that. Bob, your idea sounds cool, I can get into that setup.
Three, my time is very limited, so you'd need to be patient for the final result.
Four, not that I'm being inundated with requests, but I can't do everybody, so please don't be offended if I tell you that the offer has expired. I will post if and when that happens.
And lastly, if the result is good, I'll want to post it for all the blogosphere to see.
C'mon Bob, let's show 'em what can be done. I'm hoping some female types will consider a cosplay idea, as well—maybe art nouveau! It would be fun!
You're on -- if you're still up for it. And I'll use it as the photo of me on my blog.... :-)
